Why Facebook S Oversight Board Appeals Won T Help

Until now, people could only appeal to restore content that Facebook took down, but the latest update allows users to appeal to the board what content they think needs to be removed. Experts say it’s a step in the right direction to make content moderation on the platform better, but, overall, won’t address Facebook’s real issues. “I know [Facebook has] a diverse panel, but I think Facebook has a long way to go, and this is just a drop in the ocean,” Tom Leach, the co-founder and director of Hike Agency, told Lifewire over the phone....

Why I Do Not Intend To Pray In The Hagia Sophia Mosque Opinion

Constructed as a church in the year 360 AD during the reign of Roman Emperor Constantine II, it was converted to a museum in 1934, as a way to make it an inclusive space that can serve, like Istanbul itself, as a bridge between continents and civilizations. But all this has been destroyed in a populist move that is an attack not only on the rights of Christians but also the right of moderate Muslims to live in harmony with those of other faiths....

Why I Don T Step On The Logo In Nhl Locker Rooms

Why I M Not Vaccinated Opinion

Despite this completely rational and data-driven viewpoint, the Biden White House recently broke its previous promise and issued federal mandates that will be applied to about 100 million Americans—two-thirds of all workers. For companies with 100 workers or more, employees must be vaccinated for COVID-19 or subjected to weekly testing starting on January 4, 2022. Health care workers at facilities that receive federal funding are also required to get the vaccine....

Why I Still Talk To White People About Racism Opinion

But right now we are seeing a historically high number of white people who want to listen, who want to believe us and who want to do their best to end racism and white supremacy altogether. What about white people who sincerely want to know what they can do to help? I’ve heard several anti-conversational answers from Black folks: They should do their own homework; this is a white problem, so white people should fix it; I’m exhausted and don’t have the energy to teach white people....

Why Is Brazil So Good At Soccer Explaining Reasons Behind South American Power S Tradition Of Success

Brazil’s five World Cup titles meant it knew its record would not be broken once the group stage was over. Italy has won the World Cup four times but was not at the finals, while Germany, who also has four to its name, departed in the group stage. Argentina, Uruguay and France have a mere two triumphs each. Selecao legend Pele popularised the term ‘joga bonito’ — the beautiful game — and that legacy continued in a swaggering 4-1 thrashing of South Korea in the Round of 16, played out by a Brazil squad with the potential to field two teams who would be considered equally likely to conquer all in Qatar....

Why Is No One Mentioning Bas Dost As A Possible Arsenal Target

The bloggers, fans and press continue to link Arsenal with big names such as Podolski, which appears unlikely now, but we have to ask in a team formation using a sole central forward, why would you come? Particularly when the sole striker in question is the most in form goal scorer in Europe. So for me, the solution is to apply some logic based on what we know – Wenger very rarely spends big, certainly not in January, with the exception of Arshavin, and he prefers to buy potential....
