Originally supposed to drop into Verdansk and all platforms on Wednesday, June 3, the latest season with the newest updates to “Modern Warfare” and “Warzone” have been delayed inefinitely amidst the civil unrest in the United States and around the globe.
The “Call of Duty” brand Twitter handle released a statement on June 2 explaining the decision:

The duos game mode was reintroduced to the the wildly popular “Warzone” in late May, and per usual, the developers were planning to release more content in its newest season, by way of maps, weapons and updates to “Modern Warfare” multiplayer and the free-to-play “Warzone.”
“Right now it’s time for those speaking up for equality, justice and change to be seen and heard. We stand with you.”
Among the changes, Infinity Ward was planning to introduce ever-popular “Call of Duty” character John Price as a playable character for its online modes.
Also to make an appearance is Price’s teammate Kyle “Gaz” Garrick, also of “Call of Duty” lore. There are also rumors of new weapons, stories and add-ons in its “Warzone” game mode.
Activision has yet to release a new release date for the delayed season.
